Sweeeeep weekend, way to go Cats!! We won both two games against UConn this weekend and made history! Next game is schedule January 5th against Colgate.

Nice with a day off from practice and workout today, my body is screaming for a little break.
Workout tomorrow morning @7am and then rest for another 24 hours and then back under the bar again.
No practice and you think I'm free to do whatever? Not really.. I'm still bUsY. Final week is coming up and I can't believe I only have one day of school left. Wednesday is our last day of classes and Thursday is a reading day and then Friday is the first day of exams. I have my four exams on Monday and Thursday next week (two each day).

"Celebrated" 1st Advent with my other Swedes the other day. Drank "Glögg" with raisins and almonds, ate gingerbread and watched "Solsidan" and the second episode of the Swedish Christmas show "Mysteriet på Greveholm". And yes, I missed home for a little afterwards...
But I'm there soon, NINE days to go!! :)

That's my little update for now,
och vi ses snart!

I would have start this blog post with a serie of pictures from last week but my blog doesn´t allow more pictures. how sad! I guess I have to write a few thousand words instead.

My week was pretty damn awesome. I haven´t laughed that much since a long time ago. Can we just rewind the time? please.
We started off on Monday by going to the big city -> NYC -I just love that spot on the worldmap. We went to the Swedish Embassy to make my sister´s day by picking up her new passport.
We did some shopping.
We had Indian food for lunch.
We went to the Candy King store. I knew swedish candy was good but this time was something special. I just couldn´t stop eating. But it was worth every single $.
We went to the movie theatre and saw Paranormal Activity 4, gosh I love scary movies!!
We did some more shopping.
We had Indian food for dinner. FYI don´t ever try imported Indian red Wine. It´s called Sula and taste like burned rubber. no kidding.

The following days we did a lot of fun stuff. I found a new favorite restaurant Cheesecake Factory, (a fancy restaurant we don´t have where I live) not just because of my favorite dessert is cheesecake, but the food is a m a z i n g!
We rode horese, bareback(?) and I almost started to cry. sooo scary. And Kajsa fell off so she made me laugh again :)
We went to a real family Thanksgiving dinner. Lots of food and my favorite part is the stuffing. Me and Kajsa brought "Soft Gingerbread" (Mjuk Pepparkaka) as we made the day before and people loved it. So did me and Kajsa.

Thank you for the past week Kajsa & Mike for having me. I really really really really really really really really really really really really appreciate everything you guys did.
Kajsa & Mike bought me a new bike (cuz my last one got stolen) and after that Kajsa drove me back to Vermont (6 hours). A really nice, funny & beautiful roadtrip.
She went back this morning when I had ice practice @6am. So now I have to start take care of my self, again. And I don´t have anyone to make breakfast for :(
I guess that´s life and you just have to go with it.

It's Wednesday morning and I'm eating a well deserved second breakfast after this morning's work out, gosh I love Bulgarian squat! and split jerk! and inverted row! .. and push ups!
Today's breakfast consists of Brown cheese ("getost" in swedish, imported from norway and my absolute favorite cheese!!), a fruit salad made of banana, pineapple, cantaloupe & melon and ...banana pancakes, d e l i c i o u s! And a cup of coffee, of course.

I can't believe that Thanksgiving break is coming up in TWO days!! ..and I'm in New Jersey in FOUR!!
And Christmas Break is coming up in three weeks!!
And I'm home in Sweden in exactly I month from today!! :-)

What else ...
I signed up classes for Spring semester on Monday. I signed up for another spanish course, a math course (really?) and three Community Development and Applied Economics courses (for my major), exciting!

We are playing Connecticut this coming Friday and Providence on Sunday @Gutterson arena (home).

One more class to go today, then video meeting @5 & practice after and then dinner on a new restaurant down town tonight.
Have a nice evening folks!

Found some pix from Halloween a few weeks ago,
-enjoy! haha

Aaaalright guys, I´m sorry for no update in a long time.
I´m going to blame it on a lot of exams. homework. meetings. practices. workouts. and broken camera.
Atleast I´m here no & I just woke up from an eleven hours sleep, how amazing! We played McGill last night and won 1-0 so I guess I deserved it.
Otherways, school and hockey are going well. I´m taking two Community development & Applied economics courses, which one of them is very hard. It´s all about neoclassical economics and ecological economics and how supply and demand are depending on each other. The other course is very interesting. It´s about how we can help the third world to develop and be sustained in the long run. Right now we´re learning about Rwanda (a country in east Africa) and the the genocide that killed 800,000 people. We watched a video last class as you should watch too, The Kony video -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc. My political science class is going well, it´s really interesting but confusing but I have to say that I like that class since my professor moved my exam until earlier on December 13th so I can go home to Sweden a day earlier -thank you, u made my week right there!!

.. and the hockey part. The hockey is going very well actually. We just finished a five games week, pretty exhausted right now so this Thursday as a Day Off is exactly what I needed. We have travelled to Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Providence in one week, a lot of travelling but I like it; living on hotel, get to eat hotel breakfast and to sleep in those hotel beds (a loooot better than my dorm bed), good life!

.. bake&food part. In the beginning of this semester I baked a lot, almost every day. I think I made five Sticky Cakes in a week because people here can´t s t o p eat it. We´ve also made some cookies, mostly chocolate chip but I really want to make Caramel Canapés (kolasnittar) which is going to be another thing people can´t stop eat.
I´ve tried many new restaurants too. Sometimes it´s so nice to get out of campus to skip school and think of other things for a bit. I tried my first Mac n Cheese last weekend, not to exciting though.. I´ve also seen a new Ben&Jerry called Key Lime Pie, somone tried it yet?? Wallowed in apples is another thing I´ve been doing these days. Apple picking is a big deal here and the apples are soooo big and delicious this time a year.

Last things: 1. It´s three more weeks until Thanksgiving break where I´m heading down to New Jersey and my 2nd home <3 2. I´m soooo happy for my sister Kajsa who finally got her passport so she can come home for Christmas. I can´t remember last time my whole family celebrated Christmas together. And bst of all, we´re probably going to sit next to each other on our flight home :') 3. I have to mention "Solsidan", my favorite swedish TV show that makes my life so much easier over here.

Tomorrow Friday´s schedule looks like 7am workout, ..school.. then practice at 3pm, hopefully a great dinner somewhere. After that, h a l l o w e e n weekend is coming up and time for trick or treat.
Have a great Thursday folks.

Rooooomates
Yes, we do other stuff than homework
Vermont Skii Team (who won the Championship last year, yeey)

of course we have a Cheese&Wine night once or twice or three times a week :)

... totally into my political science textbook these days, reading the 9th amendment (protect privacy) at the moment. Found out today I have my first midterm exam in this class next week.
I ain't gonna say its gonna be an easy exam since I have to learn a whole NEW government and all that comes with it.  it's not just a new government, it's America's government which I just found out is not an easy one... But it do is interesting!

Today we had our second ice practice with coaches. With a whole new system, team, coaches and skates -I feel great!

Mom and dad are at same continent as I am. Feels good to have u guys close.
They're heading over here in a week or so to watch my first game vs. Montreal October 30th.

I've baked my Swedish Sticky Cake five times since I moved here, it's something special with them that make American people don't stop E A T it! ... even though I totally understand them.
I actually baked two sticky cakes today (one gluten&lactose-free and one original for a special moment tomorrow) topped with marsmallows, fancy cakes -just how I like it :)

Back to my lovely textbook & then dream about it until wake up call and work-out @7am running stairs. Let's get big cats!
